1. Fill in the blanks:

i) A collection of five lines and four spaces is called a staff.

ii) The object placed at the beginning of each staff is called a clef.

iii) Two staves together, one treble, the other bass, is called a grand staff.

 

2. Draw four treble clefs on the staff below. On the left side of the staff, number the lines from the bottom up. On the right side of the staff, number the spaces from the bottom up:

 

3. Draw four bass clefs on the staff below. On the left side of the staff, number the lines from the bottom up. On the right side of the staff, number the spaces from the bottom up:

 

4. Draw a line to join the left side of the two staves below so that it looks like a grand staff. Then draw a treble clef in the top staff and a bass clef in the bottom staff.
