Your Task

1. Use Internet Explorer to browse around the Bison HTML Web Site. (You don't need an internet account to do this.)
2. If you get a User Authentication Screen (meaning that you have to have an internet account to view that page), just click on the Back button, or press Alt-left arrow, and you will be returned to the previous page.
3. After you have looked around a while, get copy of Presentation #1 (Portfolio_01.dot) by clicking here and following the instructions you see on the new page very carefully.
4. Make sure that you save your document using File | Save As and place it in the folder having YOUR NAME under the Student folder.

Using A Word Processor to Prepare Your Presentation

1. Once you have obtained your starter document using the "Get the Starter Document" page, complete each of the gray text boxes you see on it.
2. Make sure that the first time you save it, you do so using File | Save As and that you place it in a folder having YOUR NAME under the Student folder.
3. Once you are completely finished, save your document once last time before exiting Microsoft Word.
4. Select File. Select Save.
5. If you have your 3 1/2 inch floppy diskette, properly labeled, save the document again on your diskette.

Printing Your Presentation

• Do not print your document yet. Your teacher will give you instructions later on how to print it.
